What locations do you service for in-home consultations?

I am available for in-home services across Nassau and Suffolk Counties and Queens. Pending your location, an additional fee may be applied.

What should I expect during the home visit?

Each home consultation will involve a thorough assessment of both mother and baby. During this time, a feeding will be observed and all questions will be addressed. Each mom will also receive a personalized care plan.

How long will a visit last?

The timing of each visit varies based on the mother/baby’s needs- typically visits last anywhere from 60 to 120 minutes.

What form of payment do you accept?

Cash, check, Zelle® and Venmo.

Do you take insurance?

I have partnered with The Lactation Network which is a company who works with your insurance to provide in-home, in-office, or telehealth appointments with an IBCLC. For insurance guidance please register for an insurance-covered lactation visit through The Lactation Network at the following site: https://go.lactationnetwork.com/LicataLactation

For patients who choose not to go through The Lactation Network, I will provide a documented receipt of your consultation that you can use to file a claim for possible reimbursement from your insurance provider. Unfortunately, I cannot guarantee they will accept the request. For additional information, please contact your insurance company for reimbursement questions.

How should I prepare for the in-home consultation?

  • Bring your questions. During the consultation ALL of the questions you have can be discussed. No questions are silly! This is a new experience for you and your baby, and every question is important.

  • Select the area in your home that is most comfortable for you and your baby- this is where the consultation will take place.

  • I always welcome a second person to be present during our session for a second pair of ears!
